Complete an assessment of current condition and life expectancy of all school systems
Creation of A Facility Vision / Strategic Plan
Ensure that facility maintenance decision making is influenced by instructional needs that support the School Head, Commitee members and Board of Directors
Cooperate effectively with policy makers and budgetary decision makers
Strategic Plan Implementation
Work with the business manager to develop a five-year facility action plan/budget that details the implementation of the strategic plan vision
Provide cost saving recommendations to the Business Manager
Regular Maintenance Supervision
- Review all current maintenance contracts and ensure the best value for the school is obtained
Meet with contractors to ensure best practices are being followed
- Provide training to current maintenance staff to improve their knowledge and skills related to facilities maintenance
Provide regular equipment site inspections and ensure preventive maintenance work is completed on a timely basis
On any new facility work; meet with contractors to ensure the best cost/service is obtained
Act as the liasion on behalf of the school on all new/existing projects
Act on the school's behalf regarding all maintenance vendors and contracts - Provide guidance and support to the School Head/Business Manager/Board on all maintenance/construction projects
- Serve on school commitees that involve constuction projects and/or maintenance
